Lucille "Kitty" Weathers

SHELBY- Lucille “Kitty” Allen Weathers, 90, of 703 McSwain Road, passed away Thursday, May 17, 2012 at Cleveland Pines Nursing Center. A native of Barrow County, GA she was born February 14, 1922, daughter of the late Robert and Johnnie Mae Stanley Allen. She retired from textiles and also worked at Shelby Police Department for nine years. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church.

PRECEDED: In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by nine brothers and sisters; one granddaughter, Donna Readling.

SURVIVED: She is survived by two sons, Donald L. Weathers and wife Patricia of Newton, NC; Bobby Weathers and wife Carol of Georgia; four daughters, Shelby Robertson and husband Tommy of Georgia, Pat Ellis and husband Don of Gastonia, Betty Ellis and husband David, and Kathy Barclift and husband Ben both of Shelby; nine grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren; and seventeen great great grandchildren. The family would like to thank the staff of Cleveland Pines and Hospice of Cleveland County for all their love and care they extended.

SERVICES: A funeral service will be held 11:00 am Saturday at Bethel Baptist Church.

VISITATION: The family will receive friends 10-11 am Saturday at Bethel Baptist Church

BURIAL: Burial will immediately follow at Cleveland Memorial Park
