Lydia Fite

July 15, 1945 — March 4, 2011

KINGS MOUNTAIN- Mrs. Lydia F. Fite, 65, of 102 Marigold Ave., died Friday, March 4, 2011, at Kings Mountain Hospice House. A native of Gaston County, she was the daughter of the late Joe and Mary Dellinger Starnes. Lydia was the leader of WMU at Eastside Baptist Church, where she was a member in Kings Mountain.

SURVIVED: She is survived by her loving husband of 44 years, Lloyd “Eddie” Fite, of the home; two sons, Scott J. Fite and wife Megan and Kenneth E. Fite, all of Kings Mountain; 3 daughters Sandy M. Staley and husband David of Lowell, Brenda K. Short and husband Harold of Kings Mountain, Valerie Jenkins and husband Bill of Gaffney; 2 sister Margie Moses and Louise Canipe, both of Kings Mountain; 4 brothers Roy Starnes of Kings Mountain, Mack Starnes of Shelby, Don Starnes of Kings Mountain, and Bobby “Dink” Starnes of Kings Mountain; 9 grandchildren; and 7 great grandchildren.


SERVICES: Services will be held 4pm, Monday, at Eastside Baptist Church, Kings Mountain

VISITATION: The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, at the church, and other times at the home.

CLERGY: Revs. Ron Caulder and Gary Teague II will be officiating.

BURIAL: Mountain Rest Cemetery.
