Mack Poston

CHERRYVILLE: McBride “Mack” Poston, 84, died Monday, December 19, 2022 at his home. Born October 29, 1938, he was the son of William and Lillie Borders Poston. Mack served in the Army and retired from Duke Energy as a Surveyor. He was known for his faithfulness and generosity while providing for his family and others. He enjoyed golf, teaching others to waterski and spending time with his granddaughters. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Amelia Kiser Poston; and son, Steven Eric Poston. He is survived by his son, Scott Poston and wife Cassie of Cherryville; granddaughters, Amelia and Emery Poston; and daughter-in-law, Lori Poston of Cherryville. Funeral services will be held 11:00AM, Thursday, December 22, 2022 at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Bryan Glisson officiating. The family will receive friends 30 minutes prior to the service, at the funeral home. A private burial will conclude in Cleveland Memorial Park.
