Margaret Boone

SHELBY: Margaret E. Boone, 81, went to be with her Lord and Savior Monday, August 26, 2024 while surrounded by her family at home. Born in Cherokee County, SC she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Genette Martin. Margaret was a faithful wife and Pastor’s wife for 30 years. She was a member of Calvary’s Cross Baptist Church, and retired from Lowes in Gaffney. Margaret was dedicated to her family, enjoyed cooking and had a love for lighthouses. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Basil and Dennis Martin. She is survived by her loving husband Rev. Billy Wayne Boone of the home; children, Brian Moss (Lorne) of Myrtle Beach, Calvin Moss (Robin) of Blacksburg, Tammy Millen of Blacksburg, Sharon Boone (Johnny) of Maggie Valley, Patti Lankford (Terry) of Gaffney and Michelle Emory (Jeff) of Grover; siblings, Joel Martin (Mildred) of Blacksburg, Lee Martin (Sherry) of Florida, Cecil Martin (Trudy) of Blacksburg, Colvin Martin of Blacksburg, Brenda Pruett (Brian) of Blacksburg, Eddie Martin (Phyllis) of Missouri, Mark Martin (Angie) of Blacksburg and Loretta Alexander (Ronnie) of Arkansas; grandchildren, Dustin Moss (Amy), Tyler Moss (Jessica), Courtney Jones (Ben), Miranda Burdette (Taylor), Elayna Millen, Ethan Millen (Peyton), Zach Bostic (Jana), Dylan Emory, Jacob Bostic, Blake Emory, Sarah Bostic, Marigrace Emory, CJ Emory, Trevor Tessneer, Jeremy Gibson and Tyler Beason; and ten great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 3:00 P.M. Friday, August 30, 2024 at Calvary’s Cross Baptist Church with the Revs. Billy Boone and Kevin Mathis officiating. The family will receive friends 1-3:00 P.M. prior to the service, in the church. Burial will follow the service in Faith Baptist Church Cemetery.
