Margaret Bryson

SHELBY- Mrs. Margaret Jewell McSwain Bryson, 73, of 1684 Montevista Drive, died Tuesday, May 15, 2007 at Cleveland Regional Medical Ctr. She was a native of Cleveland County, daughter to the late Thad and Colleen West McSwain. She was a Christian lady and a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who always put her family first. She was retired from Doran Mill, was a member of Mull’s Memorial Baptist Church, and loved to read.
PRECEDED IN DEATH BY: In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Randy Richard, a daughter, Jane Richard London, a granddaughter, Heather London, three brothers, Thad McSwain Jr., Billy Ray McSwain, and Maurice F. McSwain, and a sister, Betty Pitchford.
SURVIVORS: Her husband of 34 years, R.L. Bryson of the home; five sons, Dale Thomas Richard and wife Phyllis of Lawndale; Marvin Larry Richards and wife Donna of Denver; Jerry Bryson on Lincolnton; Jimmy Bryson and wife Joyce Ann of Hayesville, NC; Steve Bryson and wife Cynthia of Mooresville; two daughters, Patsy Whitesides of Shelby; Kathy Sigmon and husband Scott of Cherryville; one sister, Brenda Leveckia of Boiling Springs; 14 grandchildren, Angela Swink, Scott Richard, Donald Richards, Crystal Allen, Connie and Jennifer Bryson, Trista and Cami Bryson, Mitzi Armstrong, Travis and Ashley Bryson, Nathan and Amanda Bryson, and Jill Hoyle; 8 great-grandchildren, Brittany and Hope Allen, Kiara and Braden Bryson, Daniel and Madison Swink, Hunter Richards, and Tyler Eaton.
VISITATION: Tonight (5/17) from 6-7:30pm at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home
FAMILY HEADQUARTERS: and at other times at the home.
FUNERAL: Friday (5/18) at 11:00am at Mull’s Memorial Baptist Church.
LIE-IN-STATE: 30 minutes prior to the service.
BURIAL: will follow in Sunset Cemetery
