Margaret Causby

SHELBY: Margaret Elizabeth Causby, 91, died Tuesday, January 11, 2022 at Atrium Health Cleveland. A native of Cleveland County, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Chivious and Cora Lee Paxton Causby. Margaret was a member of Double Springs Baptist Church where she sang in the choir for many years. She was a graduate of Lattimore High School and enjoyed the many years she worked at Western Auto and especially at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Myrtle, Leonard and Bryan Causby; and niece, Mary Lee McSwain. She is survived by her nieces, Janice Hester and husband Roger, Faye Gantt and husband Johnny, Wanda Rabb and husband Glenn, Dianne Edwards and husband Mike and Richard McSwain; and many great nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held 2:00PM, Friday, January 14, 2022 at Double Springs Baptist Church Cemetery, with the Rev. Stephen Sain officiating. The family request that guest use masks and practice social distancing. Memorials may be made to Double Springs Baptist Church Choir.
