SHELBY-Margaret “Ocie” Sisk Jones, 96, died Saturday, Dec. 23, 2017, at Carolinas HealthCare System-Shelby. A native of Cleveland County, she was born to the late Roy and Van Dula Allen Sisk. She loved cooking, especially for her co-workers at JP Stevens. She was a long time member of First Baptist Church of Great Falls, S.C.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Malcolm Pittman Jones; daughter, Anna Sue Jones; a very special aunt and uncle who reared her from age five, Anna and Cisro Allen; brothers, James, Edgar, Howard, Carl, Floyd, and Ben Sisk; step-mother, Violet Dayberry-Sisk; step-sister, Patricia Panther; and great-grandson, Christopher Furr.
She is survived by her daughter, Van Crocker and husband Wayne of Lawndale; grandchildren, Pamela Crocker, Camela Patty, Charles Furr, Susan Hamrick, Wayne Furr, Denise King; 12 great-grandchildren; and 13 great-great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6 until 7:30 p.m., Friday, Dec. 29, 2017, at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 30, 2017, in the chapel of Clay-Barnette Funeral Home, officiated by the Rev. Richard Stroup.
Burial will immediately follow the funeral service at Sunset Cemetery.
