Margaret Mcdaniel

GASTONIA-Margaret Byers McDaniel,74, died Thursday, March,3,2022, at CaroMont Regional Medical Center. Born in Rutherford County, she was the daughter of the late Clayton and Gladys Hammett Byers. Margaret was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who will be sorely missed. Her grand children and great grandchildren were her whole world.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a brother, Eugene Byers.
She is survived by her son, Ray Dale of Gastonia; daughter, Melinda Downey and husband Marc of Gastonia; sisters, Betty Byers, Sophie Cooper and husband Herald, Barbara Hodge and husband Ronnie, Mary Frashier and husband Mark, Debra Frashier, and Vickie Hollifield and husband Ted; brother, Randy byers and wife Rhonda; seven grandchildren, nine great grandchildren; seven nieces and nephews; and a special friend.
Funeral services will be 5pm, Monday, March 7,2022, at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
