Margaret Spencer

SHELBY- Mrs. Margaret Morrison Spencer, 84, of Walker Dr., died Fri., July 20, 2012 at Cleveland Pines Nursing Center. A native of Cleveland Co. she was the daughter of the late William “Ed” Morrison and Daisy Mae Lowe Morrison Lail. She was a member of Shelby Missionary Methodist Church. She enjoyed working in her flowers, had a love for dogs, and her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.


PRECEDED: In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wade “Bub” Spencer; brothers, R.J., Obie and Bobby Morrison; sisters, Lucille Dale, Marie Earney, and Helen Prince.

SURVIVED: She is survived by her brother, Larry Morrison of Lake Lure; nephews, Rev. Michael Morrison of Hayesville, Ronald Morrison of Dallas, Tommy Stanley of Shelby; nieces, Debbie Day of Maiden, Linda Bost of Concord; and many extended family.

SERVICES: Sunday, 2pm, at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home Chapel

VISITATION: The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, at the funeral home.

BURIAL: Burial will immediately follow in Sunset Cemetery
