FALLSTON- Mrs. Margaret Austin Dingler, 75, of 212 Jim Cline Rd., Fallston, formerly of Hazel Drive in Shelby, died Saturday, January 6, 2007 at home. A native of Iredell County, she was a daughter of the late Thomas “Sam” Batson Austin and Maude Thomas Austin. She was a homemaker and was a retired daycare worker at Westview Baptist Church, where she was also a member.
PRECEDED IN DEATH BY: In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Dingler; a daughter, Donna Dingler; and two sisters, Mary Sherrill and Virginia Ogel.
SURVIVORS: She is survived by her son, Ken Dingler and wife, Andie, of Tammassee, SC; three daughters, Jan Tate and husband, Fred of Jerome, ID, Julia Pease of Shelby and Barbara Fults of Fallston; a sister, Hazel Blancett and husband, Bob, of Lake Worth, FL; a brother, William C. Austin and wife, Fran, of Statesville; nine grandchildren, Joshua Singleton, Jeremy Singleton, Sean Dingler, Jamie Dingler, Kellie Hughes, Robin and Melissa Arnold, Dylan and Daniel Fults; ten great grandchildren, Alex Singleton, Isaiah Singleton, Channing Singleton, Shiloh Singleton, Wyatt and Cooper Hughes, Tyler, Jordan and Jessica Arnold and Jackson Dingler; and a brother-in-law, James Harold Ogle of Georgia.
VISITATION: The family will receive friends on Monday, January 8, 2007 from 6:00 until 7:30 p.m. at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home and other times at the home.
FUNERAL: The funeral will be at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 9, 2007 in the Chapel of Clay-Barnette Funeral Home.
BURIAL: Burial will follow in Cleveland Memorial Park.
