Margaret Jackson Camp

March 29, 1917 — January 20, 2008

SHELBY- Mrs. Margaret Elizabeth Jackson Camp, 90, of Shelby, went home to be with Jesus on Sunday, January 20, 2008 at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte. A native of Concord, she was the daughter of the late William Lorance Jackson and Ina Elizabeth Hunsucker Jackson. She was a member of Family Praise & Worship Center of Shelby, and was retired from Dover Mills.

PRECEDED IN DEATH: In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Rev. James Yates Camp; her brothers, John C. Jackson, William Jackson, Merrill Jackson, and David Jackson; and a sister, Myrtle Jackson Wallace.

SURVIVORS: She is survived by two sons, Rev. James Harold Camp, and wife, Barbara and Rev. Joel Camp and wife, Ruth, all of Shelby; two daughters, Rebecca Capps and husband, Bennie of Grover and Wanda Arnold and husband, John of Shelby; twelve grandchildren, Patricia Flynn, Michael Camp, Todd Camp, Charles Capps, Mark Capps, Lisa Proctor, James Arnold, John Arnold, Sandra Bowen, Joel Camp, Jr., Jamie Camp and Jonathan Camp; sixteen great grandchildren, Emily Flynn, Jordan Camp, Justin Camp, Haley Camp, Ashley Capps, Britney Capps, Alicia Arnold, Brandon Arnold, Benjamin Arnold, Bryan Arnold, Taylor Arnold, Jeremy Bowen, Jacob Camp, Vivian Camp, Krystal Proctor and Lauren Proctor; a great-great grandson, Caleb Camp; and a sister, Mary Ann Campbell and husband, Rev. Billy Campbell of Hendersonville.

VISITATION: The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 23, 2008 at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home and at other times at the home of her son, James Harold Camp, 211 Nancy Dr., Shelby.

FUNERAL: The funeral will be at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, January 24, 2008 at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home Chapel.

BURIAL: Burial will follow in Sunset Cemetery.
