GROVER- Mrs. Margaret Pearl Martin, 86, of 1124-1 Lavender Rd., died Sunday, December 2, 2007 at Cleveland Regional Medical Center. A native of Cleveland County, she was a daughter of the late Harley and Carrie Queen. She was a co-owner of Martin Jacquard Textiles in Grover. Mrs. Martin was a member of Bethany Baptist Church, where she was a member of the Time Out Group.
PRECEDED IN DEATH: In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene F. Martin, a brother, B.L. Queen, a sister, Eunice Martin, and brothers-in-law, J.V. Martin, Sam Church and C.L. Martin.
SURVIVORS: She is survived by a son, Don Martin and wife, Sandy of Grover; a daughter, Betty Bishop and husband, Jerry, of Shelby; a sister, Francis Church of Shelby; a brother, J.H. Queen and wife, Gerry of Tenn.; a brother-in-law, Kenneth Martin and wife, Irene, of Greenville, SC; a sister-in-law, Irene Queen of Shelby; grandsons, Jeremy Martin & fiancée Audrey Wilson and Michael Dendy and wife, Teresa, all of Grover, Phillip Dendy and wife Wendy of Lawndale; granddaughters, Charlene Barnett and husband, David, of Grover and Tonya Coleman and husband, Brad of Shelby; great- grandchildren, Brooklyn Webb of Grover, Kaylee Dendy of Lawndale, Olivia Coleman of Shelby, Jeremy Reynolds of Lawndale, Joshua Martin and Caleb Martin, both of Grover, Connor Dendy of Lawndale, and Wm. Ezra Coleman of Shelby; a great-great granddaughter, Cameron Loftin of Grover; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
VISITATION: The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 PM,Tuesday, December 4, 2007 at Bethany Baptist Church and at other times at the home.
FUNERAL: The funeral will be at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, December 4, 2007 at Bethany Baptist Church.
BURIAL: Burial will follow in Cleveland Memorial Park.
