SHELBY: Mrs. Marjorie B. Lytle, 76, of 305 Gardner St., went to be with Jesus on Tuesday, April 4, 2006 at Hospice at Wendover.
FUNERAL: Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church, 3:00 p.m., Friday
BURIAL: Cleveland Memorial Park
VISITATION: Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church, two hours before the funeral service and other times at the home of Resa and David Moore, 6875 Landor Dr., Shelby.
PERSONAL HISTORY: Born in Avery County on August 11, 1929 to the late Jeff and Ethel Mayhew Buchanan, she was a homemaker and a member of First Wesleyan Church of Shelby. She was a loving and humble person, who always put the wants and needs of her family first. She received great satisfaction in giving to children of all nations.
PRECEDED IN DEATH BY: In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by
her husband, Ray Hicks Lytle and a brother, Paul Buchanan.
SURVIVORS: Two Sons, George Crosswhite and wife, Vickie of Rutherfordton and Larry Ward and wife, Marlene of Morganton, Three daughters, Anita Randolph and husband, Jerry of Lexington, Resa Moore and husband, David of Shelby and Tracy Eckerley and husband, Brent of Peru, Indiana, a sister, Mildred Prather of Marion, four brothers, Harold Buchanan and wife, Shirley of Spruce Pine, June Buchanan of Asheville Charles Buchanan and wife, Ethel of Rockport, Washington and Joe Buchanan and wife, Diane of Morganton, Nine grandchildren, Gregory Randolph, Mindy Cooley, Leslie Austin, Kelly Corum, Cory and Courtney Moore, and Jordan and Kyle Eckerley, three great grandchildren, Kayla Randolph, Morgan Cooley and Wyatt Austin and a number of nieces and nephews.
