Marie Addington

SHELBY- Mrs. Marie Addington, 54, of 524 Lee Dr., went to be with her Lord, Sat., Aug. 20, 2011, at her home. A native of Cherokee Co. SC, she was the daughter of the late Harold and Gretta Huskey Watkins. She was a member of Christopher Road Baptist Church and was employed with Freightliner as a team leader.

SURVIVED: She is survived by her loving husband of 16 years, Tim Addington of the home; three sons, Joey Phifer and wife Brandy of West Union, SC, William Phifer of Shelby, and Timothy Addington II of Rocky Mount; daughter, Tiffany Addington of Rocky Mount; three grandchildren, Emily, Caden, and Landon Phifer; four sisters; two brothers; father and mother-in-law, Ernest and Diane Addington of Shelby; and her beloved dogs Resse and Maggie.


SERVICES: 5pm, Monday at Christopher Road Baptist Church. Her body will be placed in the church 30 minutes prior to the service.

VISITATION: The family will receive friends Sunday 7-9pm at Christopher Road Baptist Church, and other times at her home.

BURIAL: Burial will immediately follow in Sunset Cemetery
