BURIAL: Sunset Cemetery
VISITATION: From 6:00 until 7:30 p.m., Wednesday, July 5, 2006 at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home and other times at the home.
PERSONAL HISTORY: Born in Cleveland County to the late A.F. Elmore and Cluster Head Elmore, she was employed for many years in the furniture industry and retired from Jackson’s Cafeteria. Ms. Scott was also a member of Bethel Baptist Church.
PRECEDED IN DEATH BY: In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold "David" Scott, mother-in-law, Edith Scott, three brothers and three sisters.
SURVIVORS: She is survived by her step-mother, Dorothy Elmore of Hickory, son, Doug Scott, Sr. and wife, Rhonda, of Shelby, daughter, Angie Proctor and husband, Donnie of the home, a sister, Shirley McNeely and husband, Willard, of Shelby, two brothers, Roger Elmore of Shelby and Randy Elmore of Burlington, four grandchildren, Doug Scott Jr. and special friend, Jamie Lowery of Shelby, Kayla Marie Scott of Shelby and Houston and Will Proctor of the home, father-in-law, Harrill J. Scott and brother-in-law, Roger Scott and wife, Wanda all of Shelby.
