Marion J. Crosby

KINGS MOUNTAIN- Marion J. Crosby, 85, died Friday, May 19, 2017, at Carolinas Healthcare System-Cleveland. A native of York County, SC, she was the daughter of the late Sonny and Cornelia Kennedy Crosby. She was a school teacher for more than 40 years, retiring from North Elementary in Kings Mountain. She was a member of Vanguard Ministries of Gastonia, led by Apostle Gladys Cruz. She also taught Sunday school.

SURVIVED: She is survived by her loving daughter, Bernette Massey of Charlotte; brother, Manuel J. Crosby of Kings Mountain; grandson, Antoine Massey of Charlotte; great-granddaughter, Asia Massey of Charlotte; great-great-grandchild, Xavier Leak; step-brother, Aubrey Adams of Shelby; niece Audrey Adams; and her special friends, Helen McClain and Annie Thombs of Kings Mountain.

VISITATION: The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, at the funeral home.

FUNERAL SERVICES: Funeral services will be held 1pm, Wednesday, at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home of Kings Mountain.

OFFICIATING: Rev. Annie Thombs and Apostle Gladys Cruz will officiate
