Marion Scruggs

MOORESBORO – Mr. Marion T. Scruggs, 79, of McKinney Rd., died Wed., Sept. 19, 2012 at the Brian Center of Brevard. A native of Rutherford County, he was the son of the late Chesterfield and Thelma Scruggs. He retired from Cone Mill and was a member of Trinity Baptist Church.


PRECEDED: In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four sisters, Geneva Beason, Martha Radford, Sue Hamrick, and Dorothy Wall; and brother, Herbert Scruggs.

SURVIVED: He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Doris Harris Scruggs of Shelby; brother-in-law, Hubert Radford; sister-in-law, Shirley Scruggs, both of Rutherford County.

SERVICES: Funeral services will be 2pm., Friday, at Trinity Baptist Church

VISITATION: The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, at the church, and other times at the home of his niece, Dawn Alexander, 3222 McKinney Rd., Mooresboro.
