Martha Howell Wright

SHELBY- Mrs. Martha Howell Wright, 68, of 2906 Elizabeth Avenue, died Thursday, November 6, 2008 at home. A native of Cleveland County, she is a daughter of the late Winfred and Lila Barrett Howell. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church.
PRECEDED IN DEATH: In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a brother Ken Howell.
SURVIVORS: She is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Larry Wright of the home; a son David Wright and wife Julie of Lincolnton; a daughter Kellie Putnam and husband Rob of Kings Mountain; a brother Frank Howell and wife Allyson of Shelby; seven grandchildren Justin Short, Lyndsie Jarvis and husband Greg, Josh Shelton, Hillary Wright, Jordan Shelton, Stephanie Putnam, and Marti Wright; and one great granddaughter Makayla Jarvis.
LIE IN STATE: The body will be placed in the church thirty minutes prior to the service
VISITATION: Visitation will be held Saturday, November 8, 2008, from 6-7:30 at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home and other times at the home.
FUNERAL: A funeral service will be held Sunday, November 9, 2008, at 3pm at Bethel Baptist Church.
INTERMENT: Burial will immediately follow in Sunset Cemetery
CLERGY: Dr. Tim Sims and Dr. J.M. Ezell will be officiating
