Mary Louise Goodman Holt

SHELBY: Louise Goodman Holt, 83, went to be with her Lord, Thursday, September 21, 2017, at Testa Family Hospice of Kings Mountain. A native of Wake Co., she was born to the late Wilfred and Bessie Jones. She was a member of Faith Baptist Church, and had a love of gardening, working in her flowers, and fishing. She loved eating fish as Shomars, and truly enjoyed her 2 years living in Shelby.

PRECEDED: In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Dr. J. Arnold Goodman; three sisters; and two brothers.

SURVIVED: She is survived by her loving husband, Alonzo “Lonnie” Holt, of the home; son and Pastor of Faith Baptist Church, Dr. J. Barry Goodman and wife Ava of Shelby; her husband’s children, Sheila Smith and husband Larry of Southport, Pam Hicks and husband Don of Oak Island, NC and Rhonda Clark and husband Charles of Durham; grandchildren Andy Goodman and wife Kristen of Knoxville. and Josh Goodman of Shelby; great grandchildren Henry and Ruby Goodman of Knoxville

VISITATION: The family will receive friends from 12:30-2:00PM before the service, at the church.

FUNERAL SERVICES: Will be held Friday, September 22, 2017, at 2:00PM at Faith Baptist Church.

OFFICIATING: Dr. J. Barry Goodman and Rev. Johnny Owens

BURIAL: Will be held Monday, September 25, 2017, at 2:00 PM, at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens in Durham
