Mary Jenkins

MOORESBORO- Mrs. Mary Bridges Jenkins, 94, formerly of 3212 Cliffside Rd., died Wed., Aug. 18th, 2010 at Shelby Manor. A native of Rutherford County, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Lillie McKinney Bridges. She retired from Fiber Industries and was a member of Trinity Baptist Church.

PRECEDED: In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Sam Jenkins Sr., and a sister Katie Bridges.

SURVIVED: She is survived by her two daughters Cornelia Sweezy and her husband Gerald of Shelby, and Amanda Jolley and her husband Richard of SC; one son Sam Jenkins Jr. of Shelby; seven grandchildren Noel Sweezy and wife Karen, Jeremy Sweezy, Paul Jolley and wife Mayna, Michael Jolley and wife Lisa, Nathan Jolley and wife Laree, Miranda Bridges and husband Jacob, and Dena Jenkins; 11 great grandchildren.

SERVICES: Funeral Services will be held 11a.m., Sat. Aug. 21st, at Trinity Baptist Church, the body will be place in the church 30 minutes prior to the service.

VISITATION: The family will receive friends Fri., Aug. 20th from 6 to 7:30 pm at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home, and other times at the home of her daughter, Cornelia Sweezy, 2164 Ellis Rd., Shelby.

MEMORIALS: may be made to the Sam and Mary Jenkins Memorial Scholarship, Greater Cleveland County Schools Education Foundation, 105 East Ridge St., Kings Mountain, NC 28086.
CLERGY: Revs. Todd Bolin and Noel Sweezy will be officiating.

BURIAL: Cleveland Memorial Park
