Mary Jo Sides

SHELBY-Mary Jo Lamountain Sides, 68, died Tuesday, June 9, 2020, at Mission Hospital in Asheville. A native of Gaston County, she was the daughter of the late Raymond Phillip and Kathleen Rosa Robertson Lamountain. Mary Jo was a compassionate and loving person. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Joyce Ann Gilliam. She is survived by her daughters, Carol Vandyke of High Point and Jamie Crowell of Matthews; sister, Corina Patterson and husband Rodney of Shelby; brother, Rick Lamountain and wife Terry of Grover; and three grandchildren. A graveside service will be held 11:00am, Friday, June 12, 2020, in Sunset Cemetery. The family will receive friends following the service.
