KINGS MOUNTAIN — Mary Worthen, 92, passed away Saturday, Oct. 8, 2016, at Wendover Hospice House.
A native of Catawba County, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Tate and Omie Grier Leonard.
PRECEDED: In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Sam Worthen.
SURVIVED: She is survived by one son, Steve Murphy and wife Martha, of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; two grandsons, Steven Murphy and wife Donna, and Jason Murphy and wife Jamie; three great-grandchildren, Kayla, Morgan and Grayson Murphy.
SERVICES: A graveside service will be held 11:15 a.m. Monday at Mountain Rest Cemetery.
VISITATION: The family will receive friends from 10-11 a.m. Monday at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home of Kings Mountain.
CLERGY: The Rev. Matt Lewis will officiate.
