GROVER- Mrs. Mary Dee Freeman, 87, of 2506 Brookfield Dr., died Tuesday, June 5, 2007 at Cleveland Regional Medical Center. A native of Rutherford County, she was a daughter of the late Joe and Myrtle Hoyle McCurry. She was retired from the Dover Mill and was a member of Shelby Missionary Methodist Church. She enjoyed needlepoint, reading, and working word puzzles.
PRECEDED IN DEATH BY: In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Duffy Freeman, Sr.; son, Duffy Freeman, Jr.; infant daughter, and sister, Effie Lee McCurry.
SURVIVORS: She is survived by a daughter, Nancy Brown of the home; a son, Billy Wayne Freeman and wife Geneva, of Lattimore; nine grandchildren and their spouses, David Freeman and Cindy, Thomas Freeman and Robin, Jimmy Freeman and Sandra, Donald Tomlin and Tina, Kenneth Hayes and Tabitha, Michael Hayes, Zack Freeman and fiancée Jessica Womble, Jessica Freeman, and Danielle Scott and Blake; twelve great grandchildren, a great-great granddaughter; and close friends, Edna Bowen and Robert and Faye C. Blackmon.
VISITATION: The family will receive friends Thursday, June 7, 2007 from 6:00 until 7:30 p.m. at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home and other times at the home.
FUNERAL: The funeral will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, June 8, 2007 at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home Chapel.
BURIAL: Burial will follow in Cleveland Memorial Park.
