Mary Elizabeth Els

SHELBY- Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Revels, 97, of White Oak Manor, formerly of 618 Charles Rd., died Friday, September 26, 2008, at Cleveland Regional Medical Center. A native of Clarke County, Georgia, she is a daughter to the late Charlie and Emma Hayes Sweatmon. She retired from Lily Mill after 35 years. Mrs. Revels loved people, her grandchildren, and working in the garden on her flowers. She was a member of Westview Baptist Church where she cared for the nursery for many years and was also active in the church group, Primetimers, where she loved to go on trips.

PRECEDED IN DEATH: In addition to her parents, Mrs. Revels is preceded in death by her husband P. F. Revels two Sons, Rudy and Larry Revels, son-in-law, Warren Deal, two brothers, and two sisters.

SURVIVORS: She is survived by one son Ollis Revels and wife Betty of Monroe; Two daughters, Ramona R. Deal of Waco, and Valeria R. Webber and husband Jimmy of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; one sister, Lelia S. Dickson of Texas; eleven grandchildren, Deborah Dutton and husband Cary of Savannah, G.A., Susan O’ Dell and husband Billy of Snellville, G.A., Leslie Andrews of Mt. Pleasant, S.C., Kenneth Deal and wife Virginia of Shelby, Robin Harris and husband Billy of Waco, Tim Webber and wife Fay, David Webber and wife Kathy, Chris Webber and wife Tina, all of Shelby, Mike Revels of Atlanta, G.A., Randy Revels and wife Shelby of Shelby, and Don Revels and wife Stacy of Wilmington. She is also survived by twenty great grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren, and a daughter-in-law, Lib Gold Revels of Shelby. A special thanks to the caregivers at White Oak Manor for their loving care to our beloved mother and grandmother.

VISITATION: visitation will be held from Sunday 2-3pm (Sept. 28) at Westview Baptist Church and other times at the home of her daughter, Ramona Deal, 125 Mystic Lane, Waco.

FUNERAL: funeral will follow at 3pm at Westview Baptist Church (Sept. 28)

INTERMENT: burial will immediately follow in Sunset Cemetery

CLERGY: Dr. Jim Richardson and Rev. Jim Backett will be officiating
