Mary "Helen" Stover Rollins

SHELBY- Mrs. Mary “Helen” Stover Rollins, 89, of 1404 N. Lafayette St., Shelby, died Thursday, July 20, 2006 at Cleveland Pines Nursing Center.

FUNERAL: 3:00 p.m., Sunday, July 23, 2006 at Hoyle Memorial United Methodist Church.

BURIAL: Sunset Cemetery

VISITATION: The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service at the church and other times at the home of Phyllis Bivins, 4012 Lynn Circle, Shelby.

PERSONAL HISTORY: Born in Greenville County to the late Carl and Mary Stutts Stover, she was retired from J.P. Stevens and was a charter member of Hoyle Memorial United Methodist Church. She enjoyed gardening, quilting and had a love for her church work.

PRECEDED IN DEATH BY: In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Albert Rollins and four brothers.

SURVIVORS: She is survived by three sons, David C. Rollins and his friend, Linda Peters of Phoenix, AZ, Carl A. Rollins and wife, Linda of Las Vegas, NV, and Thomas F. Rollins and wife, Wendy, of Anaheim, Calif; four daughters, Phyllis Bivins and husband, Richard of Shelby, Margaret Van Dyke and husband, Gary, of Morganton, Mary Sue Cline and husband, Fred, and Cherry Michael and husband, Tim, all of Shelby; a sister, Elizabeth Griffin of Danridge, TN; a brother, Elbert Stover of Jacksonville, Fla., twelve grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren; and a special friend, Ruth Grigg.
