Max Wease

BOILING SPRINGS: Max Marsdon “Marty” Wease, 69, died Thursday, May 11, 2023 at Hospice at Wendover. A native of Cleveland County, he was the son of the late Gene and Geraldine Blanton Wease. Max graduated from Crest High School and attended Gardner-Webb University. He was a 37 year employee with Republic and a member of Boiling Springs Baptist Church. He was an outgoing and humble man who had many friends and lived life to the fullest. He is survived by his sister, Debby Wease of Boiling Springs; brothers, Kim Michael Wease of Shelby and Roger Dale Wease of Boiling Springs; special cousin, Becky Edwards Setzer and her family; and his many co-workers and friends from Republic. The family will receive friends 10-10:30 A.M. Wednesday, May 17, 2023 at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow at 11:00 A.M. in Sharon United Methodist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Keith Dixon officiating.
