SHELBY – Mrs. Maxine Sink Jolley, 82, of 1313 Wesson Rd., went to be with her Lord, Wed. Oct. 17, 2012 at Cleveland Regional Medical Center. A native of Davidson County, she was the daughter of the late David and Carrie Owens Sink. For 30 years, she taught elementary school at Davidson County, Marion School, and Cleveland County Schools. She was a member of the Shelby Exchange Club, Cleveland County Association of Retired Teachers, and a volunteer of the Senior Center. She was a faithful member of Westview Baptist Church.
PRECEDED: In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Inez Smith; and three brothers, Clarence, Raymond, Archie Sink.
SURVIVED: She is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Dr. Paul Jolley of the home; son, Stephen Jolley and wife Joyce of Winston-Salem; daughter, Sandra Bridges and husband Benny of Charlotte; two brothers, Max Sink and wife Dorothy Elliot of High Point, Homer Sink and wife Billie of Greensboro; four grandchildren, Stephanie Mitchell and husband Shake of Nashville, Christopher Bridges and wife Michelle, Drew Jolley, Carrie Daley and husband Jonathan, all of Charlotte; two great grandchildren, Emma Ruth Mitchell, Rachel Bridges, and two great granddaughters on the way; sister-in-law, Joan Ledford of Mooresboro.
SERVICES: Saturday, 2pm, at Westview Baptist Church
VISITATION: The family will receive friends from 12:30-2pm, Saturday, at the church, and other times at her home.
