SHELBY- Mrs. Melvina Turner, 69, of 110 Immanuel Church Road, died Tuesday, July 20, 2010 at White Oak Manor. A native of Cherokee County, she was the daughter of the late Eunice Turner.
PRECEDED: In addition to her Parents, she is preceded in death by 1 brother; and 4 sisters.
SURVIVED: She is survived by her husband of 19 years, Bobby Downs, of the home; three sons, Mark Grayson and Fiancé Tabby of Casar, Chris Grayson and wife Donna of Mooresboro, Danny Pearson and wife Kelly of Grover; daughter Loretta Cash and husband Danny of Spartanburg; three sisters, Lil Sis, Elizabeth, and Betty Jean; 7 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; and special friend Fonda Grayson.
VISITATION: The family will receive friends, Wednesday, July 21, 2010 6-7:30 at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home.
SERVICES: Services will be held, Thursday, July 22, 2010 at Casar Baptist Church, 3pm.
BURIAL: Burial will immediately follow in Casar Baptist Church.
MEMORIALS: Memorials may be made to Alzheimer’s Association 3800 Shamrock Drive, Charlotte 28215 and Hospice of Cleveland County, 951 Wendover Heights Drive, Shelby 28150
CLERGY: Rev. Travis Smith will be officiating.
