Michelle Whitecotton

SHELBY- Michelle Carlton Whitecotton, 40, of 136 Bradley Road, passed away Sunday April 4, 2015 at Wendover Hospice. A native of New Hanover County, NC, she was the daughter of Peggy Carlton of Shelby and the late Robert Carlton. She was a member of Mt. Sinai Baptist Church. For 18 years, she worked at Judy’s Child Care in Rutherford County and more recently she was a Teachers Assistant at T. A. Springmore Elementary School.

SURVIVED: She is survived by her husband of 10 years, Randy Whitecotton of the home; one beautiful daughter, Ella Whitecotton of the home as well; two brothers, Phillip Carlton and wife Renee and Bradley Carlton all of Shelby; brother-in-laws, Jeff Whitecotton and wife Cindi; three nephews, Jonathan and Mason Carlton of Shelby and Noah Whitecotton of Monroe; one niece, Mackenzie Bridges.

SERVICES: The funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Wednesday at Mt. Sinai Baptist Church.

VISITATION: The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6-8:00 pm at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home.

CLERGY: Revs. Tim Trexler, Jeff Whitecotton, Wayne Holley, and Cory Mode.

BURIAL: Will be in the church cemetery
