Millie Earl Sapoch

December 15, 1910 — October 23, 2009

SHELBY- Mrs. Millie Earl Sapoch, 98, of 2108 Ellis Road, died Friday, October 23, 2009 at Cleveland Pines Nursing Center. A native of Cleveland County, she was the daughter of the late Mike and Carrie Runyans Sepaugh. Mrs. Sapoch was a former member of New Hope Baptist Church where she was a Sunday School Teacher and active in W.M.U., and she was also a former member of Hopewell Baptist Church in Blacksburg. She was a member of Christopher Road Baptist Church.

PRECEDED: In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her first husband Mike Douglas Earl; her second husband James Sapoch; a daughter Peggy Joyce Earl; five brothers Howard, Nethery, Jackson, William “Bill,” and T.G. Sepaugh; half brother Bobby Deloache; half sister Frances Montgomery.

SURVIVORS: She is survived by one son, Douglas Earl and wife Sandra of Shelby; two step sons Jimmy Sapoch and wife Juanita of Bessemer City, and Wince Sapoch of Spartanburg, S.C.; a step daughter Mary Frances Owens of Blacksburg; a half brother Joe Sepaugh and wife Lib of Shelby; three grandchildren Donna Jo Bridges and husband Tim of Fort Mill, S.C., Vance Earl and wife Susan of Blacksburg, Carmen Faries of Shelby; four great grandchildren, Ashley Earl Sloan and husband Andy of Shelby, Chrysalis Bridges of Fort Mill, S.C., Paige and Evan Earl both of Blacksburg; one great great grandson Hunter Agee of Shelby; a special niece Doris Meacher of Reidsville. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the entire staff of Cleveland Pines for their love and care for Mrs. Sapoch during her stay.

VISITATION: The family will receive friends Sunday, October 25, 2009 from 2-3pm at Christopher Road Baptist Church and other times at the home.

FUNERAL: Services will be held, Sunday, October 25, 2009, 3pm at Christopher Road Baptist Church.

INTERMENT: Burial will immedialty follow in New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery

CLERGY: The Revs. Chris Wray and Michael Sepaugh will be officiating
