Minnie Lee Lynn

June 11, 1915 — April 20, 2010

SHELBY- Mrs. Minnie Lee Lynn, 94, of 1550 Charles Rd., died Tuesday, April 20, 2010 at Carillon Assisted Living Center. A native of Spartanburg County, SC, she was a daughter of the late William Luther Conner and Allie Ballanger Conner. She was employed in the textile industry and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, where she worked in the nursery for 30 years.

PRECEDED IN DEATH: In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Crown Lynn; a brother, Dick Conner; and her twin sister, Winnie Belle Conner.

SURVIVORS: She is survived by a son, Jimmy Lynn, of Rock Hill, SC; a daughter, Gayla Hammond and husband, Tom, of Shelby; a sister, Corrine McCoy, of Shelby; three grandchildren, Eddie Hammond, of Granite Falls, Todd Hammond and wife, Cindy, of Charlotte, and Kelli Sullivan and fiancé, Richard Dimich, of Shelby; five great grandchildren, Thomas Hammond, Adam Hammond, Bryce Sullivan, Olivia Hammond, and Kristen Hammond; and many nieces and nephews.

VISITATION: The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 22, 2010 at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home in Shelby, and at other times at the home of her daughter, Gayla Hammond, 807 W. Elm St., Shelby.

FUNERAL SERVICE: The funeral will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 22, 2010 at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home Chapel.

INTERMENT: Burial will follow in Sunset Cemetery.

OFFICIATING CLERGY: The Revs. David Rabb and Dan Wallace will officiate.

MEMORIALS: Memorials may be made to Calvary Baptist Church, 320 Old Boiling Springs Rd., Shelby, NC 28152.
