SHELBY- Mrs. Moree Johnson Duncan, 91, of 2932 Poplar Circle, died Friday, October 22, 2010 at Cleveland Pines Nursing Center. A native of Cleveland County, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Cleo Humphries Johnson. Mrs. Duncan was a member of Bethel Baptist Church and worked for Modern Beauty and Hairdesigners for over 37 years. She loved her Lord, her family, flowers, and cooking.
PRECEDED: In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by 2 brothers, Jess and Gene Johnson; and one sister Wilma Simmons.
SURVIVED: She is survived by her three sons Wayne Duncan and wife Mary of Tryon, NC, Craig Duncan and wife Peggy of Shelby, and Bill Duncan Jr. of Boiling Springs; three daughters Doris Duncan, Kay Jones, and Elizabeth Reid, all of Shelby; 10 grandchildren, Tommy Duncan and wife Janice of Shelby, Alan Duncan of Tryon, NC, John Jones and Michael Jones both of Palm Beach Gardens, FL, Terrie Toms and husband Rick of Lattimore, Lori Nanney and husband Tommy of Boiling Springs, Michelle Allison and husband Jody of Boiling Springs, Ryan Duncan and Logan Reid, both of Shelby, and Grant Reid of Miami, FL; 10 great grandchildren; and 3 great great grandchildren; and sister-in-law Dessie Johnson of Dallas, NC.
SERVICES: Services will be held, Sunday, 3pm at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home.
VISITATION: The family will receive friends, Saturday, 6-8pm at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home and other times at the home.
BURIAL: Burial will immediately follow in Sunset Cemetery.
CLERGY: Dr. Tim Sims will be officiating.
