GASTONIA-Mrs. Mozelle Eaker Brendle, formerly of Abington Place, died Saturday, May 2nd, 2009 at Robin Johnson Hospice House of Gaston County. A native of Burke County, she was the daughter of the late Joe and Dutch Petty Eaker. She was the wife of a Western NC Methodist Minister and was a member of Myers Memorial United Methodist Church.

PRECEDED IN DEATH: In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Rev. Iverson Brendle Sr.; daughter, Mildred Davis; sister, Elvia Thrift; brother, L.C. Eaker; and daughter-in-law, Norma Brendle.

SURVIVORS: She is survived by her two sons; John Brendle of Shelby and Iverson Brendle Jr. and his wife Gayle of Rockwell; daughter, Flora Ann Craig and her husband Harold of Gastonia; sister, Grace Tapp of Virginia; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; and a son-in-law, Pat Davis of Spartanburg, SC. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Dottie and Max Erwin, the staff of Abington Place of Gastonia, and Hospice of Gaston Co. for their faithfulness.

VISITATION: The family will receive friends Tuesday, May 5th from 1:30-3pm at Myers Memorial United Methodist Church Parlor.

SERVICE: Funeral will be held Tuesday, May 5th at 3pm at Myers Memorial United Methodist Church

INTERMENT: Burial will follow at 5pm in Sunset Cemetery of Shelby

CLERGY: Revs. Ed Biggers and Iverson Brendle Jr.
