Myrtle Mccoy

August 17, 1919 — August 7, 2009

SHELBY- Mrs. Myrtle Lou McCoy, 89, 0f 1176 Wyke Road, died Thursday, August 7, 2009 at Cleveland Regional Medical Center. A native of Macon County, she was the daughter of the late Isaac Newton and Lula Dean Miller McCoy. Mrs. McCoy retried from Dover Mill and attended Dover Baptist Church. She was also a former member of Dover Women’s Club.

PRECEDED: In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter Pat Hulsey; three brothers Elmer, Earl, and Paul McCoy; two sisters Leona Cob and Judie Landers.

SURVIVORS: She is survived by her two brothers J.B. McCoy and wife Loise and Isaac McCoy all of Shelby; two grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.

VISITATION: The family will receive friends Sunday, August 9, 2009 from 2-3pm at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home and other times at the home of J.B. and Lois McCoy, 5009 Bowen Drive, Shelby 28152.

SERVICE: A memorial Service will immediately follow at 3pm in the Clay-Barnette Funeral Home Chapel.

CLERGY: Dr. B. Ervin Price will be officiating.

MEMORIALS: In Lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Dover Baptist Church, 1501 Polkville Rd. Shelby 28150 or Hospice of Cleveland County, 951 Wendover Heights Drive, Shelby 28150
