Myrtle Lee Causby

March 10, 1918 — August 27, 2006

SHELBY- Ms. Myrtle Lee Causby, 88, died Sunday, August 27, 2006, at Cleveland Regional Medical Center.

FUNERAL: 4:00p.m., Tuesday, Aug. 29, 2006 at Double Springs Baptist Church. The body will lie in state 30 minutes prior to the service.

BURIAL: will follow in the church cemetery.

VISITATION: Monday (Aug. 28) 6:00-7:30pm at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home, and at other times at the home of her sister-in-law, Irene Causby, 1721 Farmville Rd., Shelby.

PERSONAL HISTORY: Mrytle was born in Cleveland County, a daughter to the late Joe C. and Cora Lee Paxton Causby. She was a faithful member of Double Springs Baptist Church, where she worked in the nursery for 38 years. She retired from Universal Manufacturing.

PRECEDED IN DEATH BY: In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by two brothers, Leonard and Bryan Causby.

SURVIVORS: She is survived by her sister, Margaret Causby; one step-sister, Ruth Preston; two step-brothers, Albert Bowen and wife Frances and Clyde Bowen and wife Pat; two sister-in-laws, Irene and Anna Catherine Causby; a special friend, James McDaniel, all of Shelby; five nieces and their husbands.
