Nancy Rizzo

SHELBY- Mrs. Nancy Ann Piskura Rizzo, 53, of 244 Laren Drive, died Monday, April 27, 2009 at UNC Chapel Hill Hospital. A native of Danbury, Connecticut, she was a daughter of the late Martin and Jacqueline Butcher Piskura. She was of the Catholic faith and loved taking care of her grandchildren.

SURVIVORS: She is survived by her loving husband of 33 years, Roy Rizzo, of the home; a son Steven Rizzo and wife Holly of Grover; a daughter Rebecca Padgett and husband Cory of Shelby; two sisters, Donna Elsenboss and husband Andy of Statesville and Barbara Poissonnier; two brothers James Piskura and wife Sue, and Gary Piskura, all of Connecticut; and three grandchildren, Ryan Rizzo and Morgan Rizzo of Grover and Tyler Padgett of Shelby.

VISITATION: The family will receive friends from 6-7:30pm and conclude with a Rosary Service at 7:30 and other times at the home.

SERVICE: A funeral mass will be held 11:00am, Friday, May 1, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church.

INTERMENT: Burial will immediately follow in Sunset Cemetery.

CLERGY: Father Michael Kottar will be officiating.
