Nancy Rogers

SHELBY: Nancy Lee Rogers, 91, died Monday January 15, 2024, at White Oak Manor in Shelby. She was the daughter of the late Edgar Lee Sr. and Sallie Gantt Lee. Nancy loved her church, Lafayette Street Church, which she had been a faithful member since she was a child. She retired from A&P Tea Company and later from Kemet Industries. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved sisters. She is survived by her husband of 74 years, Heyward Rogers; son, Stephen Rogers and partner Kim Spencer of Lexington; grandson, Greyson Rogers and wife Lisa of Denver, NC; great-grandsons, Noah and Silas Rogers; brother, Edgar “Buddy” Lee Jr. and wife Doris Davis Lee of Shelby; nieces, Tammie Lee, Sallie Lynn Lee-Troxell, Becky Wall and Linda Smith; nephews, Doug Noblitt, Roy Wellmon, Phil Weathers and Gerald Weathers. Services are private to the family. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Lafayette Street Church at 1420 South Lafayette St. Shelby NC 28152.
