Nell Ledbetter

SHELBY- Mrs. Nell B. Ledbetter, 88, of 407 N. Post Rd., went to be with her Lord Aug. 6, 2010 at Kings Mountain Hospice House. A native of Gaston county, she was the daughter of the late Carrie Dale Bolton. Mrs. Ledbetter retired after 50 years from the Dover Mill. After retirement she was well known for her caring and compassionate care of elder adults. She was also a member of the grandparents program working at Graham School with the kindergarden class. Friends and neighbors recognize her kindness and giving nature. She was also a member of Elizabeth Baptist Church.


PRECEDED: In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Jerry William Ledbetter Sr., son Jerry Ledbetter Jr., and a grandson.

SURVIVED: She is survived by her son Terry Ledbetter and wife Karen of Shelby; two daughters Frances Mallet and Barbara Luffman and husband Dennis, all of Charlotte; sister Mabel Moss of Shelby; four grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and a nephew Joseph Moss and wife Sandy of Charlotte.

SERVICES: 2pm Sunday, Aug. 8th at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home Chapel

VISITATION: The family will receive friend one hour prior to the service

BURIAL: Cleveland Memorial Park
