Norman Hawkins

October 31, 1916 — February 6, 2009

SHELBY- Mr. Norman Plato Hawkins, 92, of White Oak Manor, formerly of 1820 Burke Road, died Friday, February 06, 2009 at Cleveland Regional Medical Center. A native of Cleveland County, he was a son of the late Otho and Arrie Blanton Hawkins. He was travel guide and a member of Sharon United Methodist Church. He also served in the United States Air Force.

PRECEDED IN DEATH: In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother John Hawkins and two sisters Gladys Kahl and Margaret Hawkins.

SURVIVORS: He is survived by a brother Yates Hawkins and wife Ruth of Shelby; special cousin Nell Scism of Waco and many nieces and nephews.

VISITATION: The family will receive friends Sunday, February 8, in the Fellowship Hall at Sharon United Methodist Church from 2-3pm.

FUNERAL: Services will be held Sunday, February 8, at Sharon United Methodist Church at 3pm

INTERMENT: Burial will immediately follow in Sharon United Methodist Church Cemetery

CLERGY: Rev. Joe Tarpley will be officiating
