Norman Mauney

February 28, 1938 — September 21, 2013

SHELBY-Mr. Norman Mauney, 75, of Foust Rd., died Sat., Sept. 21, 2013 at Hospice at Wendover. A native of Cleveland County, he was the son of the late Webb and Bessie Codgell Mauney. He retired from textiles and was a member of Buffalo Baptist Church. He loved camping and fishing.

PRECEDED: In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Sarah Crowder Mauney; step-son, Russell Crowder; and brothers, James and C.W. Mauney.

SURVIVED: He is survived by his son, Dusty Mauney of Cherryville; three sisters, Vernie Wall of Lattimore, Betty Nelson, and Rachel Mauney, both of Shelby; three brothers, Forrest Mauney of Boiling Springs, Ralph Mauney and wife Debbie, and Billy Ray Mauney, all of Shelby. The family would like to thank Dr. Besson, and Norman being in loving care of hospice.

SERVICES: 2PM, Tuesday, at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home Chapel

VISITATION: The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, at the funeral home.

BURIAL: Buffalo Baptist Church Cemetery
