Pamela Smith

SHELBY: Pamela Martin Smith, 69, died Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2018, at Testa Family Hospice House in Kings Mountain. A native of Cleveland County, she was the daughter of the late Robert Harrill Martin and Eva “BeBe” Newton Patterson. She worked in landscaping for many years, and was an active member of Way of the Cross Baptist Church.

PRECEDED: In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Lori Ann Bivens; and friend Harold D. Smith.

SURVIVED: She is survived by her sons, Quay Farris and wife Jackie of Wendell, NC, and Kyle Farris and wife Natalie of Columbia, MD; sisters, Gail Fredell and husband Foy of Kings Mountain, and Barbara Martin of Shelby; brother, Robert “Robbie” Martin of Gastonia; 10 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren; niece, Shelle Bolick and husband Scott; nephews, Johnny Lee Kale and Jason Kale and wife Kammie of Kings Mountain; friends and caregivers, Sandy Charles of Shelby, and Beth Hanley of SC.

VISITATION: The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, at the funeral home.

MEMORIAL SERVICES: Memorial services will be held 2pm, Saturday, at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Robert Mote officiating.
