Pat Putnam

SHELBY: Patricia “Pat” Putnam, 89, died Tuesday, April 18, 2023 at Hospice at Wendover. Born in Rutherford County, she was the daughter of the late Loren and Blanche Jones. Pat was a graduate of Number 3 High School and was a faithful member of Mt. Sinai Baptist Church. She loved to laugh, spend time at the beach and she was proud to have been able to travel to all 50 states with her husband. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Brian Putnam; brother, James Jones; and sister, Aileene Kirby Silvers. She is survived by her loving husband and high school sweetheart of 68 years, James “Jim” Putnam of the home; daughter, Penny Putnam of Shelby; grandchildren, Elaina Putnam and Jacob Pennington; and her caregiver, Trudy Hopper. Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M., Saturday, April 22, 2023 at Mt. Sinai Baptist Church with the Rev. Tim Trexler and Rev. Broadus Heatherly officiating. The family will receive friends following the service, in the lobby of the church. A private burial will take place in the church cemetery. Memorials may be made to Mt. Sinai Baptist Church or Hospice of Cleveland County. Funeral services are entrusted to Clay-Barnette Funeral Home & Aquamation Center.
