Patricia Hyatt

Kings Mountain-Patricia Hopson Hyatt,81, died Thursday, August 19, 2021, at Testa Family Hospice House.
Born in Johnson City, TN, she was the daughter of the late Oliver and Pauline Hayes Hopson. Patricia Loved her family and lived for Jesus. She worked for many years as a paper carrier for the Gaffney Ledger and the Spartanburg Herald. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Hyatt; and brother, Ray Hopson. She is survived by her son, Steven Whitaker and wife Wendy of Blacksburg, SC; daughters, Teresa Henson and husband Newt of Kings Mountain and Diane Cloninger and husband Greg of Lawndale; numerous Grand and great grandchildren; brother, Richard Hopson of Austin, TX. A memorial service will be held 3PM, Sunday, August 22, 2021, at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home of Kings Mountain with the Rev. Dr. J. Barry Goodman officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.
