Patricia Porter

SHELBY- Mrs. Patricia Ann Porter, 67, died Sat. Jan. 21, 2012. A native of Cleveland Co. she was the daughter of the late John and Mattie Philbeck Porter. She was a weaver for many years at the Esther Mill.

PRECEDED: In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Virgil Henry Oaks Jr.; brother Buddy Porter; sister, Frances Clark.

SURVIVED: She is survived by her two sons, Jeff Oaks and wife Myla of Shelby, Joseph Oaks and wife Tina of Spindale; two sisters, Carolyn Philbeck and husband Ray of Earl, Janice Porter of Patterson Springs; 10 grandchildren, Jennifer, Jeffrey, Aaden, Brad, Joseph, Ryan, Bryan, Bobby, Angela, and Gene Oaks; and many great grandchildren; A special thank you to her niece; LeeAnn Davenport; and daughter in law, Myla Oaks, for all their love and care during her illness.

SERVICES: Tuesday, 2pm, Clay-Barnette Funeral Home Chapel

VISITATION: Tuesday, 12:30-2pm, at the funeral home, and other times at the home of her son, Jeff, 2408 Kings Rd. Extension, Shelby.
