SHELBY: Pauline Allen Philbeck, 90, died Friday, June 24, 2022 at Hospice at Wendover. A native of Cleveland County, she was the daughter of the late Charles Lester and Jessie Dover Allen. Pauline enjoyed working, tending to her flowers and bird watching. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Harold Philbeck; and 11 brothers and sisters. She is survived by her daughter, Sheila Ivie and husband Les of Polkville; son, Wayne Philbeck and wife Jenene of Hollis; sister, Mary Faye Bridges of Shelby; grandchildren, Nathan Ivie, Justin Ivie and wife Taylor, Carolanne Queen and husband Josh, Candice Curry and husband Daniel and Clifton Philbeck and wife Amber; great-grandchildren, Emmitt Queen, Sadie Ivie, Ruby Ivie, Sage Curry, Cathen Curry, Chance Curry, Macy Philbeck and Heather Curry. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM, Tuesday, June 28, 2022 at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Billy Scruggs officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Cleveland Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Cleveland County, 951 Wendover Heights Dr., Shelby, NC 28150
