SHELBY- Mrs. Pauline Dyer Costner, 78, of 1312 S. Dekalb St., died Wednesday, October 1, 2008 at Century Care of Shelby. A native of Cleveland County, she was a daughter of the late Daniel Dyer and Gertie Lee Warren Eades. She was retired from the Lily Mill and was a member of Davidson Memorial Baptist Church.
PRECEDED IN DEATH: In addition to her parents, her husband, Howard Lee Costner, her granddaughter, Morgan Clark and brothers Bobby and Billy Gene Dyer preceded her in death.
SURVIVORS: She is survived by two sons, Robert W. Costner and Scott A. Costner, both of Shelby; three daughters, Regina Justice and husband, Tommy, of Shelby, Sandy Byrum and husband, Jerry of Indian Trail, and Cherry C. Clark and husband, Danny, of Myrtle Beach, SC; a sister, Betty Lynch and husband, Phillip of Shelby; six grandchildren, Micheal Justice and wife Heather of Shelby, Kerri Adams of Rock Hill, SC, Jessica McMurray and husband, Kevin and Heather Byrum, all of Indian Trail, Lori McKee and husband Mark and Daniel Costner, all of Shelby; five great-grandchildren, Brandon and Breanna Justice, Gavin McMurray, and Grayson and Bryson McKee; and a very special friend of the family, Terry Dixon of Shelby.
VISITATION: The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:30 p.m., Friday, October 3, 2008 at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home and at other times at the home.
FUNERAL: A graveside service will be at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, October 3, 2008 at Cleveland Memorial Park.
