Phillip Mclamb

SHELBY: Phillip Brandon McLamb, 41, died Saturday, May 27, 2023. Born in Myrtle Beach, SC, he is the son of Sue L. Rippy of Shelby and the late Joseph McLamb. Phillip served in the Army, serving two tours. He was part of the 82nd Airborne training. He graduated Cleveland Community College and worked for Hammer Cody Roofing. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his brother, Garrett McLamb; and grandparents, J.D. and Charlene Lovelace and J.B. and Mary McLamb. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his brother, Michael McLamb of Shelby; half-sisters, Sally Averette of Farmville, Tyler McLamb and Andrea McLamb, both of Sanford; special friend, Beth Chambers of Shelby; and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held 11:00 A.M., Saturday, June 3, 2023 at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Doug Pruett officiating. The family will receive friends following the service, at the funeral home.
