Ray Elizabeth Mcswain Ware

ORLANDO- Mrs. Ray McSwain Ware, 89, of Orlando, Florida, died Tuesday, April 28, 2009. A former native of Shelby, she was the daughter of the late OL and Cora Jane Blanton McSwain. She was a member of Rosemont Baptist Church. She taught Children’s Sunday school Class for years and worked in Bible School. She was also an active member of the PTA and other school affairs.

PRECEDED: In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Woodrow Ware; a son Douglas Ray Ware; three sisters, Grace Barnette, Macie Bumgardner, Ruby Williams; and three brothers, Carver, Wade, and Eul McSwain.

SURVIVORS: She is survived by a son Woody Ware Jr. and wife Nancy; two granddaughters, Lisa Ware Mallard and husband Todd, Laurie Ware Franklin; and two great grandsons Logan and Cooper of Orlando, Florida.


VISITATION: The family will receive friends from 10-11am, Saturday, May 2, 2009 at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home.

SERVICE: Services will be held 11:00 AM, Saturday, May 2, 2009 in the Clay-Barnette Chapel.

INTERMENT: Burial will immediately follow in Cleveland Memorial Park.

CLERGY: The Revs. Johnny Ware, Steve Williams, and Jim Brackett will be officiating.
