Raymond Edwards

MOORESBORO: Raymond “Ray” “Buff” Lewis Edwards, 74, died Monday, February 1, 2021 at his home. A native of Rutherford County, he was the son of the late Furman and Lonia Mae Hudson Edwards. Raymond was a loving husband, father, brother, and pawpaw who loved his family. He enjoyed shooting guns and any form of racing, especially drag racing and NASCAR. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother Walter Edwards. He is survived by his loving wife of 38 years Loraine Edwards, of the home; sons, Randy Edwards of Mooresboro, and Ryan Edwards and his spouse Jennifer of Gaffney, SC; daughters, Melanie Houck and husband James of Lyman, SC, and Brittany Edwards of Spartanburg, SC; sister, Margaret Hamilton and husband Buddy of Shelby; grandchildren, Megan Fisher, Morgan Lockaby, Carter Taylor, Jonathan and Travis Houck. A memorial service will be held 2pm, Thursday, February 4,2021 at Camps Creek Baptist Church, with the Rev. Buddy Morehead officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, in the church.
