Raymond Horne

SHELBY- Raymond Lewis Horne, 91, of Marlwood Drive, passed away Wednesday December 10, 2014 at Wendover Hospice. A native of Mecklenburg County, he was born July 16, 1923, son of the Ivery Martin and Vertie Miller Horne. He was a member of John Knox Presbyterian Church.

PRECEDED: in addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.

SURVIVED: He is survived by his beautiful wife of 67 years, Pansy Icard Horne; one son, Michael Horne and wife Nimpha of Shelby; three daughters, Charlotte Morgan and husband Frank of Hayden, Idaho, Susan Horne of Shelby, Julia Tallent and husband Steve of Vale; two sisters, Agnes Smith and husband Bud, Wilma Kilgo and husband Jimmy both of Charlotte; eight grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.

SERVICES: A memorial service will be held Saturday, 2:00 pm at John Knox Presbyterian Church.

VISITATION: The family will receive friends at the church after the service.
